Bring The Goat: Lunch Edition

Finally somewhere new to blog about!  Though Ben was the only one to order an entrée more to the Japanese end of the spectrum, we were able to take the opportunity to expand Paul’s sushi knowledge.   Even if he did feel the need to stab his spicy tuna.

I had no major issues with the gyro sandwich, but Mike said his shawarma sandwich was a bit chewy and oniony for his taste.   The hummus was tasty, but the mortar-like consistency was a bit of a turn off. And then there was our waitress… trolling the classifieds for a new job on company time [...]

Thanks to Annette for the tickets Aaron, Mike, Dave, and I enjoyed some hot dogs, wings and a game for lunch. Dave and Aaron get cozy under the luxurious Grady Sizemore blanket… …and enjoying the heat from some much needed sunshine.

A slightly more successful outdoor eating experience than the previous two attempts even if the tables did threaten to topple over on top of us. At least we had a nice view.

 Dave and I ventured off to The Souper Market for the very tasty beer, cheese, and kielbasa soup (and in my case half a loaf of bread). Mike and Matt  enjoyed a little Phnom Penh deliciousness.

Patio seating… +1 for fresh air +1 for not getting sunburned -1 for being a little too cold/breezy/shady for comfort -1 for no “Banana Splits” reruns (no TV outside) -1 for running into work people +10000 for not being the office cafeteria

Where I was harshly denied my Free Cookie Tuesday free cookie.

I had one of the new tilapia dishes–the one with the lime juice in the sauce. Delicious, but not 100% filling.

Today’s lessons learned: 1. The patio might be open, but that doesn’t mean there’s enough shade yet. 2. Bring sunscreen. 3. Be careful what you say when asking for a water refill. 4. Tip well.

Dave marveled at the ginormous plate of chicken molé. I enjoyed fish tacos. Cory did battle with a humongous burrito. And we were all surprised to learn that the pronunciation of “rojo” is so controversial.
