Bring The Goat: Lunch Edition

With all of the various goat-bringers (myself included) off enjoying their holidays and not having to avoid the cafeteria food, the sudden silence here and lack of updates feels strange to me. Today’s xkcd makes me think about our “X days since” sign and wonder if it’s getting lonely…

Continuing my tour of local beer cheese soups, The Souper Market comes out on top.

The end of an era and it’s only fitting that the first repeat in 11 weeks should be the place where it all started. So it’s back to Phnom Penh and it’s glorious “srimps, squid and crap.”

I think Mike’s Right. There is some sort of anti-focus field over the menu to avoid pictures of the “crap.”

Really can anything beat beer battered deep fried andouille?

And then it was off to the bowling alley.

Again plagued by slow service. I enjoyed the Guinness cheese soup. The corned beef was good, but nothing special. And while I liked my chips, there seemed to be some complaining about too much salt on the fries.

Pretty tasty food even if the waitress did seem to be working in slow motion.

There’s something vaguely creepy about dead animal heads decorated with holiday cheer.

At least the bear seems angry about it.

After a trip to Target for a few christmas lights and other items of holiday cheer…
